Elissa's August 2009 Newsletter August 2009 Dear Friends,   I don't know why I called my Summer pictograph in the July newsletter, "The Eventful Summer We'll Always Remember". Was it Michael Jackson's passing, or the passing of health care reform? I have a feeling it's something with a bigger impact, but from this prettily-colored depiction of August 2009, it looks like there's a surprise to the upside. Unless the message is: Only pay attention to good news and then our lives will be a lot more pleasant.   August is the time of Leo, and Leo's key words are "I create". That's how to play August in a nutshell. As C.G. Jung said: "The only meaningful life is the life that strives for the individual realization, absolute and unconditional, of its own particular plan.  To the extent that a man is untrue to the law of his being, he has failed to realize his life's meaning."   On a less serious note (but maybe it is serious), let me talk about the weather:  Here in Santa Fe, it's been practically muggy for weeks, not like the dry atmosphere I've come to expect for the last twenty years. Ever since Spring, there's been much more moisture in the air. And the nights are much colder like there's another ice age coming!  The other day, there was a crazy hailstorm that made the national news it was so fierce and unexpected. But besides the weird weather, Santa Fe is hopping with new bands, new restaurants, new art venues and museums--it's getting to be a real scene here and very hot. Psychic Messages and Astrology for August 2009 In August, many people change their focus; they are now paying attention to new things and different people. It's not a month where people necessarily figure out cooperative plans and come together. The power of death and the power of radical change is on stage.  Spiritual Theme of the month: Give! ("Even if your heart is breaking, even though your feet are aching...Give!") We are asked to reach out and give what we've got, to be caring. August's Opportunity: This is the month to give your full attention to what you are creating and what is new. Get aligned with the vitalizing cycle of energy streaming into August. Let it carry you forward as you focus on what you want to happen. Put the pedal to the metal with projects dear to your heart.  P.S. You will miss this whole energizing cycle if you choose to remain in the past. Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius): You beat a hasty retreat from difficult situations. If something in your life is not working, you need to move on. Don't try to fix what's broken, get something new! Re projects: there can be unsettling changes in what you have set up. There's concern about how to stabilize what you've got going. Just keep on working on what you know needs to be done. Do not worry about perceived delays in success. By letting go of emotional baggage this month, you make yourself a lot happier. Leo 2009 Happy Birthday Leo!  What you can count on:  Feeling like a "new you", surprises-- and looking back to think it was a pretty interesting year. However, in some regard you can feel thwarted and that it's slow going getting to where you want to be. You might as well not rush. Instead, go at a pace that allows you to have fun and enjoy your life. The Speaking Stones for Leo: This is a very surprising year. Much comes up that's from the past, both good and bad. You work again with past creative abilities. There's lot of opportunity. You learn to use your energy much more efficiently or strikingly. You're better at dealing with life in general, and more willing to move forward. This is only true if you’re doing what you want. If you're not doing what you want, you'll have an opportunity to change and re-align with your desires. If you want to, you can take yourself far, fulfill new roles, and achieve new. Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces): There's some project in the works that looks like it provides support and emotional harmony for a long time to come. There' a way to upgrade and  stabilize your life, a vision that began in May, and August is more of an action time of moving forward with your plan. It takes an investment to make this pay off. Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius): You've tried to make a transition to a more stable and secure situation; it looks successful and you should be more at peace now. Congratulations! Concerns are off your mind and things go more smoothly now. Take a breather and go to the beach if there's one handy. Meanwhile, another assignment is brewing. In the Fall there's e a lot more activity away from home, or with new markets. Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn):  You are in a place now that allows you to receive more love. The way is clearer now also--it's easier to make plans and know what you're seeking in life. Libra:  By September, things are very different for you. You've gotten over a lot of fears or self-doubt, and your plans are bigger and bolder. There seem to be a lot of practical decisions to make. What are you going to do the knowledge that you have now, where do you belong, and what needs to be done at home? Other key issues are security in general and your personal relationships in particular...there's a lot going on before you forge ahead in the direction you decide to go. Scorpio:  You now understand or you're figuring out just how to successfully carry out a plan that means a very big change in your life.  You feel a lot safer or more comfortable or better about taking off in this new direction, and its details are clearer in August. What you figure out for yourself brings you peace.   Sagittarius: You're restless this Summer, between connections, and not sure where things are leading to. The world might be going to hell in a handbasket but Santa Fe, New Mexico is hot!    I hope your Spring is exciting, wherever you are, Love, Elissa June 2009 Psychic Insights and Horoscopes In June's cycle of creativity,  people are willing to make big sacrifices to reach their goals...they feel like a "work in progress" with lots to do. This goes double for Geminis, who may be thinking by the end of their birthday month about brand new goals, once the Sun goes into Cancer and Summer begins. For everyone, it can turn into a time of  life-changing new inspirations,  which will requiring adjusting to, but ultimately bring  a new ease of being. By mid-summer, many make wiser and more fitting choices for themselves. The planet of expansion, Jupiter, dominates the vibrational landscape in June, fueling people's big visions for their personal future, and most likely continuing the market rally on Wall Street. While I was gone, everything in my apartment was stolen, including all the cash for the trip, and they took it all away in the brand new suitcases I'd bought hours before! All I had in my purse were the plane tickets. However, it was still a trip that gave me, in part, my wonderful life. I'll tell the story in a future blog, it involves a great English medium, Gypsies and rock stars, but I've gotten sidetracked here...the point is that in the relative short-term there can be a difficult time coming even though what's given as a message is the much more positive circumstances that change leads to, so people don't freak out at all that goes on and must be sacrificed in the construction of a more positive foundation." Appointment info at www.elissaheyman.com or 505-982-3294.   Elissa's May 2009 Psychic Newsletter Psychic Messages for May 2009 Jazz Fest Report Dear Friends, I'm just back from New Orleans, lucky to have booked myself into the city early in the year for  the second weekend of Jazzfest. As a result, I am one culturally enriched human being. Fest head Quint Davis went to Africa and brought back two groups of dancers and drummers who could do extraordinary things with their bodies that I never saw before: I saw dancers from Benin do magic tricks, making dancers appear and disappear on stage right in front of us, and The Crocodile Gumboot Dancers of South Africa made rhythms with their bodies, stamping their feet, that were unlike anything I'd ever heard. Someone is going to put a Youtube video up for them of the performance--I will Twitter when I see it. Anyway, it seemed like the best dancers and musicians from all around the country and world were on the Festival fairgrounds for four full days, morning til night.  I was in musical, food, and surprisingly, conversation heaven. I met a lot of interesting people there, about three a day.  It was like a Fellini movie,  where people were willing to go to some fascinating place in their conversation in just moments. It could have had to do with the fact the tickets each day were $50, and it raised the bar on how resourceful people were who entered the gates. No time was wasted learning interesting lessons on the fairgrounds, and then there were the passerbys...a woman with dollar bills pinned all down her front, so that, I presumed, if you were short one dollar and you really wanted to get a soft shell crab po' boy, you could pull one off her chest if she happened to be around. It was a friendly crowd. At night the  streets were filled with people and music--I went to  a late night set of the Midnight Disturbers with Trombone Shorty  that took place in a converted middle school. There were little clubs and restaurants and art galleries in the different school rooms, and the auditorium is where the headliner bands performed and people danced. (They came on at 1:15 AM--people stay out late in New Orleans;;the paper lists music sets starting at 3 and 5 am) Each day after Jazzfest, people poured out of the fairgrounds and many found their way into street parties along the way home, with brass bands on the corners and food stands set up. They were all over town. The cafe scene is very hot in New Orleans too--all different styles of cafes that at least during Jazzfest, stay open late. Where I was in the Marigny district, people lounged outside with others, or worked on their laptops outside, in between tropical plants and local art work. A groovy scene.   I rented a bike the minute I got there, a big $500 cruiser that made for effortless riding all over town. (Go to Michael's on Frenchmen Street.)  I traded a psychic counseling session to get picked up at the airport and driven right to the shop. Then we were off to Lafayette Park, where Marva Wright and  Marcia Ball were playing...the party started within minutes of landing.  I left while it was still a little light, stopping at a local dive;type place named Mother's with great gumbo, then down to the River Park to pay my respects to the mighty Mississippi, and through the Farmers Market and French Quarter and into the funky arty Fauborg Marigny.    I could talk all day about the music and magic in New Orleans but it's time for the May psychic messages. One more thing:  New Orleans was thriving, but not the wetlands that protect it.  I learned that wetlands are being lost at a rate of an acre an hour, and this threatens the whole coast of Louisiana. According to environmentalists and scientific projections, the people there either have to take measures immediately to fix the problems, or move, as in move the coast of Louisiana and everything built on it. New Orleans is still threatened even though it looks good in the good places. It needs attention now, was the message. May 2009 Earth Day Messages, April 22, 2009: (receiving this message made me a stronger believer in the power of  the collective consciousness to impress, to be a force, because truthfully, I didn't know it was Earth Day--it was like, Wednesday to me--until I looked it up the date later in Jim Maynard's Astrological calendar. In the morning I walked outside into the warmest and happiest Spring air of the season yet, and in it was a high and joyous energy, and the collective thought-form,  "Green, green and glorious planet earth...what can I do for you?" As if a million people were paying attention to planet earth--as if Earth were alive, and wanting our attention and heartfelt sentiments. We're changing, and the earth is receiving our blessings. Earth Day Divination April 22, 2009:  USA:  Hate groups in the mid-West continue to strengthen; crime networks in the East Coast  are under pressure to leave the  area;  territory/land is lost in the south around the Mississippi; a city like Chicago (inland, middle U.S.) becomes a more powerful, thriving metropolis; a Canadian city like Ontario, Quebec, also grows.  A defining moment in the West...something happens that makes a difference to, has an impact on half of California (Now at this publishing, May 7th, it's looking like the legalization of marijuana.)  Southern states get colder. Nature: A lot of volcanoes in the southern latitudes. Venus conjuncts the Moon in May, blessing love, creativity, and business for those who can let go of whatever they're clutching, who can spin out into May's beneficent and lucky spheres. Let yourself go, the water's warm, say the currents of May-- you are very likely now to wash up on a better shore. Discoveries and Developments:  New methods of growing (food); underwater oil supplies are in the news;already developed products coming into the market and moving it.. An important development with alternative energy is ongoing and has the power to profoundly change things. Left-out Spring '09 divinations: Preventative medicine and a wholistic health approach get very very "in" in the forseeable future. Be wary of investing substantial amounts of money in anything. It’s perhaps too early to invest in knowing what is substantial. Guidance for Creative Manifestation: The straight and narrow path produces marvelous fruit in May. This is a very good time to be concerned with your creation, what you love to manifest in the world and can create right now, and that only. If it's not your fate to blow up, blow apart, transform, you will be having all kinds of discoveries in your creative life. Don't waste the opportunity! The collective move towards ingenuity:  We are more sure of ourselves, willing to let go, and understanding of deep motivations. Being kind to yourself is productive. Be aware of judgment from others as you change. Continue changing. We are releasing age-old criticisms from deep within us, and at the same time moving closer to communicating and travelling out into space. Psychic Insights for Spring 2009 Friendship is going to be important this Spring, as many changing things happen. April is a time of big change for people, all over the world. These can be personal changes, inner changes, and positive changes as long as one doesn't resist change. We are all here to receive--some receiving blows that wake them up, some receiving arrows of love and enlightenment. Change happens so fast now...we are worlds apart in April.  Don't waste a dime of energy fretting over something that happened... everything that's meant to change, changes. Anger can boil over in April: there's a lot of built-up negative energy in the world, and right now circumstances allow for its expression. In personal relationships, try to back out, or rest from strife, rather than trying to negotiate where it's clearly a struggle. It's better to walk away. The full moon is attracting a lot of attention, as if extreme things can happen on that full moon on the 9th.  The positive use of such a cathartic time is for personal healing and the release of all one's old stories. Help can come from new sources: masterful people at their utilitarian peak can appear, good news about alternative energy is near at hand, and later in the Spring, the planets' grinding action on all our foundations is mitigated by fortunate aspects that should lighten the atmosphere considerably and give us hope for the future. But what a beginning! The Speaking Stones on personal and professional growth this Spring:  "Speedy" is the operative word: People with talent and cooperative energy flowing through their projects and partnerships, come into full bloom rapidly this Spring.  Those who are rearranging their lives, making themselves more at peace with themselves and the world, can rise quickly from past conflicts that mired them. People re-group with new focus in this Spring's powerfully transformative energy. Out in the World:  (written January, 2009) In the U.S, Obama continues to surprise the people around him; extreme economic instability is still the focus; Hillary Clinton (or another female) is in the headlines, and somewhere in the Middle East, things really blow up, affecting a whole group of people. In America the cultural trend will be to pay attention to one's own community, to get more civic-minded and local rather than global. The colors of this new time have a richer, warmer energy, and a new strength. Things stay up in the air for a long time, but a sense of trust and connection can build with the foundation which is not yet laid. First new laws are put in place, or trust is established, and in four or five years the young people will really make a difference. Creative simpler technologies connected to something out in space (the sun?) appear--the biggest discovery that changes things up ahead is with energy although the source isn't clear. Spring shows the activation of karmic, impacting circumstances, the unknown effect of changes to the very foundation. Attack, war, and aggression, are a strong possibility in April, and that people are boiling over mad about something. However, regarding the U.S. and the Obama administration, divination continues to show surprise to the upside in terms of how this all works out, contrary to the headlines or logic. The idea of creating bridges through more communication with other countries looks promising-- radical innovation, completely new ways of doing things, create a more stable world. The month of May has astrological aspects indicating people could be a lot more optimistic about the future. Que Pasa in Mexico? (posted January 23rd, 09) In the February 2008 newsletter I wrote about Calderon's war on drugs losing steam, and that "Mexican leadership, possibly new, may shift focus away from the cartels and onto other social concerns.'  Now, say the spirits, "The (Mexican) people are due for a change in what they pay attention to and how they do things...they are ripe for another order--this one has descended into chaos." Mexico has to do what Obama is trying to get Americans to do: to get all people to take responsibility, no matter what part they played. A fairer-skinned leader could rise from the middle of Mexico. This Spring could bring "dirty bombs",and that the West coast becomes more built up, or becomes more of a tourist destination. Spiritual Guidance and Divination for March 2009 March 2009 Revisited March 3rd: I began to wonder about the March 2009 pictograph, which is kind of scary, intimating that something bad happens, and decided to revisit March with another pictograph to see if I got a similar picture. I did not. This one depicts the vagueness and uncertainty of now, but a beautiful Spring energy nonetheless, as if the Spring feeling will be strong in the air.  It also showed some new energy source and solutions in the distance, farther out in time but saving the day. It look like cities go through major changes, and that we get help from higher intelligences from other places out in space. Another influence becoming more obvious is that many people develop to peak levels and will display great ability to help others. However, the composition suggests that actually there is more light than dark. Overview:  Although the Age of Aquarius will begin to feel upon us, giving us hope and enthusiasm for group efforts, February is also a tricky month with a tendency to shock. The state of the economy makes people wonder if we've gone overboard and are beyond help. Sellers wonder if there are any takers. (It's a buyers' market.) People pour into certain areas for unseen reasons. Mercury retrograde, officially over January 31st, still seems to be in effect in February when it comes to deadlines or expected progress with projects. (Think "Spring"- not "February"). When you go to put your money down, avoid speculating or assuming too much about the future. Stick with the concrete, with the small-in-scope; be thorough, don't overextend but take care of business at hand. New beginnings plus lack of proper preparation can equal loss, especially the first half of the month.  General Psychic Guidance for Making the Most of February Be very curious in February: new interests lead to new realizations and new sources of energy. Protect yourself from unwanted vibrations: recognize more quickly when your environment and people are draining you and your energy is getting low. Get out in the fresh air…go! Many co-dependencies fall away or fall apart and stop functioning now.  Those dependent on external supportive circumstances staying the same should be formulating Plan B. Clearing Out is a major theme in peoples' lives in February. Space could be coming to your closet, files, and drawers! It's a good time to take an inventory of your values and what you want to deliver. What do you value and what do you need in your life to produce value for others?  Understanding this is an important key to success.   Now is the time to be on fire with creativity, but nothing else. From Ancient Santa Fe: In early January I went up on the hill behind my house, where people used to go to find pottery shards and fossils, and probably in ancient times, to do rituals. It's a perfect place to see the whole town and the mountains  beyond.  I used to go there every solstice and equinox to sing and pray and dance around in circle, but now it's topped by some of the fanciest houses in town, and nobody just walks around. But I found an area that was still wild and where I could still hear the spirits, and this is what they said about Santa Fe: It's appreciated by the land, and good business, to express gratitude for what the earth yields, to honor the area and its blessings with our personal thanks, just like is still done at the pueblo dances. The key to success is to stay in the present, to relate to each other in terms of what can be created together, and what can be done in changing conditions. It was still time for some people here, and Santa Fe in general, to shine, no matter what was happening in general to the economy. There's an influx of people from Colorado--some event can cause more people to come south.  (It's also occurred to me before that eventually having the train link Colorado to Santa Fe would be great for tourism.) Santa Fe should market more to Canada. There's a new local museum or attraction in the air… Psychic Development and Learning to Trust One's Ability to Know (added February 2, 2009) The Continual Life Lesson, Professional Psychic Or Not:  Today, February 2, 09, the local newspaper carried a story about the unveiling of a new cultural attraction, just as I saw in a Spring vision that I posted on my website in January (the Prophecy Blog page). However, I did not include the details of the quick vision I saw because they did not make sense.That's why alot of people don't follow their intuition. Your intuition is often bouncing off of a different set of circumstances than those you know about at the time, making your feeling seem illogical. What I saw at first was some place up on a hill north of town, with kind of modern fun things going on inside it. At the time I discarded those details because I saw no reason a new museum or attraction would be way out there. But now it's in the paper, a new performance space and multi-use stage going up around the Opera House in the hills north of town! Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius):  It's easy to escalate things and spend too much money now. You might be expecting more follow-through in February than there is, so be careful about putting too much money into future developments. You need more time for integration and maintenance of what's important to you and your career success. Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces):  You get a go-ahead, you get a "yes"--there's an important action taken that's successful and sets you on your way with renewed hope for what you might find in the future, who you might meet, and new ways to get the job done, or do your work. Change is transformational: major change keeps on coming, like a river rolling along, changing the landscape, depositing people in new places.  Perhaps one difference between difficult times in the past and today, is that we're aware of  technological breakthroughs that make it evident we can innovate to success. Positive directions will be in sight.Divinations     Numerology:  2009 is a "two" year, and will be full of dualities, for instance in the U.S., we'll go back and forth between transformation (the Obama agenda) and dealing with the past (trials, wars).  The extreme volatility of the stock market is another "2" feature, and likely reaches a bottom. Lifestyle and domain changes can be extreme. Some boundaries change, or try to.   In numerology, 2 and 9 break down to two numbers: 2 and 11. (Eleven is considered a master number, so you don't break it down.) In an "eleven" year, mastery is on display. Individuals can better manage their own lives now, and in the U.S., masterful people are at the helm and immediately take the country in a better direction, despite great frustrations.    "Eleven" also connotes spiritual growth, and this year many feel they are gaining mastery over their own selves. A lot of people are feeling healed. There's a big wave of people who are feeling a lot better about where they're going and what they're doing in life. Successful action marks the year-- in it, a lot of people get set up for future success, and find it's easier to align their heart, mind, and will.   The Speaking Stones: The stones mystified me. I believe they were portraying a disorganized landscape, like an earthquake, or the ultimate disorganization of some collective body, like a revolution. The Speaking Stones' reflection of destabilizing and transformative circumstances in 2009 fit various scenarios already in the air: earthquakes in Yellowstone, economic collapse, (and Europe looking more affected than the U.S.); border changes, war.   The Oh Cards: There were many images that showed the same thing, a striking contrast between the soaring spirit of people, their hope, and the state of the world at the moment. One image for America portrayed its renewed spirit and the Obama agenda: It's a big traffic light hanging over a beautiful highway, and the light's green and flashing "go"--there's a straightforward way clearly laid out for things to work. And all around the edges of this beautiful scene are different threats.    Gifts from Outer Space: New concepts, originating from some alien intelligence, seed the air with ideas about how to orchestrate and harmonize larger systems, giving us inspiration to change how we deliver energy and maintain power. There's the impression that on other planets, there's some kind of grid and everyone's plugged into it, and certain amenities are just taken for granted: that people have the right to power, and there's not such a profit structure around it.   The Earth: Better growing methods are introduced and greater respect shown for the earth. There is more community activity. Wildlife need help from humans more than any other life on earth. (A high-rated charity is http://www.wwf.org)      Out in the world: It's very difficult for the United States to see how they can achieve the goals of balance and effect real change--a way is not provided at first, as if at first some serious you-know-what has to go down. The President of France does have to be careful -- he could still be a target.  Morocco is in some circumstance that it should wait and see what develops…different people come forward, routes change, and an alliance with another place strengthens systems of delivering things.  Alaska's position will improve: it is destined to benefit from something useful there but not yet realized, and to get more integrated with the rest of the country. There's still the idea of California getting rescued, something working out for California…California gets bailed out; and if there were any earth changes that affected part of the state, it would get relief. Women come to the forefront and they have the knowledge and healing ways needed now. (Added January 11: The last thing that happened in the circle when I was getting these messages was that my real or imagined informants said something like: "Gotta go--something's happening in Pakistan and it's "all hands on deck" Did that mean that there was some intent to intervene on some level on the part of the spirit world? Or that it was a metaphor for a serious situation brewing? It was too cryptic. But I got the impression an alarming development was in the air. Nothing was happening in Pakistan that I could see and I didn't include it in the newsletter. But I am reading about Pakistan in the headlines now, January llth.)  Heart Openings: There's a growing and perceptible change in peoples' attitude towards each other and a greater spirit of cooperation --this is what makes all the difference in the world.  Maybe that's why the prescient Mayans named this time, "when consciousness surpasses technology." This is when things get interesting-- when it becomes apparent that human evolution is a matter of being able to feel more and receive more love-- and to give. A mass of hearts open amidst the rubble and chaos and hard realities that litter 2009.  Personal Guidance for 2009:   At all costs, conserve your energy. Choose peace over power.   If you decide to have a good time this year…well, you certainly can! Creativity is off the hook, and ideas abound--that's one reason it's hard to get really depressed about how bad things might look. Our governments and social structures are in for huge changes in the coming years. Combined with Uranus going direct within the same day, these planetary aspects signal that volatility, extreme behavior and abrupt change is up ahead--a preview of 2009. Buckminster Fuller, inventor of the geodesic dome, scoffed at the Scarcity Principle, that people ever had to go hungry anywhere...he thought people could create their way out of anything. Scarcity was something manufactured, political--and that's the theme of the Mayan year that just ended on November 12th, 2008…this last year is called "the end of manufactured lack." "Consciousness surpasses technology" suggests that through collaboration, new inventions and the raising of our collective consciousness, we'll go and grow in unexpected new directions, connecting on higher levels. In honor of the stupendously astute Mayan calendar, this month's messages will be for the Mayan year ahead, ending November 7, 2009. First, a little background about the Mayans and the Mayan calendar, from the book, "It's About Time" by Deborah Deluca Hall, PhD.: "We aren’t taught much in typical American education about the Maya, however they had an incredibly advanced civilization before the arrival of Europeans. They created cities with millions of citizens. They created elegant and highly perfected art, architecture, astronomy and social organizations. The Mayan calendar cycle ending December 21, 2012: "The cycle most referred to by archaeologists and anthropologists is the "Long Count". It begins about the time that recorded writing was established…and we hear a lot about its end. You may have read that the end of the Long Count predicts the end of the world – physically. No information I have suggests this to be the case, so if that is what you wanted to hear, then you probably don’t want to read further. According to the Mayan elders, this count-down is to the end of one more era of human evolution. There have been others, a concept familiar to students of the Christian Bible literature. And it hails the BEGINNING of yet another era which will start in Year Cero…So one way to look at it, is that this calendar of the Maya may just simply be describing creation of increasing levels of human consciousness."   Predictions for the Mayan New Year 11/13/08 to 11/07/09 August 2008 Eclipses' Omen This 2008 year when consciousness surpasses technology is also known as the Sixth Day in the Mayan calendar cycle. There have been other Sixth Day years in history, and they turn out to be the grooviest times of all! The last one was the '60's, with the flower children, free love, and the Beatles. The European Renaissance was a Sixth Day year. Another Sixth Day year corresponds to "the invention of tools, and first attempts at agriculture and building shelter". Big improvements and interesting developments will happen now…expect a Renaissance! Consciousness Surpasses Technology: This Renaissance year promises to be among other things, the perfectly natural time to make what you are passionate about, your priority. It's a response to life the world needs--as Philosopher Harold Thurman wrote: "Don't ask yourself what the world needs -- ask yourself what makes you come alive, and then go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." Unleash your passion!Some people will be ready to do that, and some will be intent on finding their passion. The forces to connect people to creative lives were never stronger. Be open and trusting you will meet with success. Message from the mountains of New Mexico: "We used to be the sea…under the sea. We were very afraid of That Other Element, the Air…but those of us who ventured into the air were the ones that survived the transition. Those survived who were forward looking, willing to accept their environment, and do the best in it." (This did used to be a sea, one can find shells in the hills around Santa Fe, NM.) What Works: Telling the truth, and letting other people be. Following the rules, i.e. don't try to get away with anything. A bad time to get caught! Being forward-looking; don't look back on the past with regret. And this December, don't overdo. Heed your inner rhythms for the best timing in creative projects or anything else. Watch Out: Not everyone is going to be looking forward, and don't try to drag anyone to the Renaissance Party if they don't want to go, it'll just slow you down. And, due to the comprehensive destruction of old structures going on, you could get caught in a crossfire if you don't observe the omens around you. There are dangerous neighborhoods, people in trouble, people looking for trouble--some people prefer to stay in the shade and if anyone seems shady, steer clear to avoid negative consequences--you could be appalled at what can happen now. Also, there is much destruction in this cycle of rebirth--it takes a lot of tearing down for the big building projects of now. Right now the auto industry is on trial, wanting to keep things in place, continue with the creative product of their time, but it keeps things too small, it is too tight a pattern for The Now's explosive expansiveness. The Speaking Stones:  Reading #1: Our collective direction honors above all, an explosion of creativity up ahead that is on a global level, and it is trying to make a beeline for that. But there are a lot of factions that want things done legally about all the stuff from the past, and not being able to let go of the past makes for a lot of "stuff" to get through first. …but then…. Reading #2: What's left out of this stone design for the year is The Past. It is not a time much in relation to the past. I was on first and glad to hear my tone, "100% positive of an Obama agenda in our future"--I don't think anyone predicted a McCain win, but a few including me sensed delays, complications and confusion around the election or inauguration or perhaps just in the beginning. Awhile ago I'd gotten the impression that there would be an attempt to scare the public away from reaching their goal of change, but that it would turn out to be just a scare. (Don't be scared!) The tarot cards showed the country begins the New Year in conflict but it doesn't last. The Speaking Stones showed manipulation and some kind of question mark about the election or inauguration or something unexpected happening. However, nothing suggests we're about to swing to the extreme right or become a police state, a pretty sure thing with a McCain/ Palin win. Still, it's hard to believe that a savvy, compassionate, creative person could soon be leading the country after 8 years of the Bush Administration…maybe it's just hard to believe and that's why all the divinations show unexpected developments, fraud, and confusion--there's a strong collective expectation the incumbents aren't leaving gracefully or legally. The one thing it does look reasonable to expect is further economic meltdown and markets burnt to a crisp. Maybe the silver lining there is a giant national burst of resourcefulness and creative energy, a more relaxed pace, and people becoming more cooperative and peaceful. It also looks like before we experience the next administration's creativity, the past must be purified through exposing the truth about what went on in the Bush Administration, and its death seems to take up a very big space. Right now, 8 days before the election, I'm worried about another war breaking out, but again, those are pretty gay November pictographs, and I think they reflect the ultimate state of change in the U.S.A. On the potential for election fraud: According to an Austin newspaper: "The Obama campaign has learned the lessons of 2000 and 2004. On Election Day, lawyers will be everywhere—all the way down to the county level." It is still hard for us traumatized Americans to talk about the presidential election being stolen twice. At least the Obama campaign isn't in denial about it. In peoples' lives in general this November, if the truth on display around them can be accepted, decisions are easy. Hence, the Obama campaign is hiring 3000 lawyers in preparation for expected voting irregularities. This unfolds over time, beginning in 2008." from January 2007: "I see 2007 in a context, a period when things appear to be okay but there are many signs of instability--and in relation to the future, it is looking like the last year before much greater change." talking about the psychic pictograph for the year: "…The picture also implies that 2007, almost submerged in water but still holding up (i.e. maybe it’s a rocky but okay year for the stock market) is the last year before an uncharted course in a sea of purifying, transforming events." (Also from 2007 is a prediction about a woman in politics suddenly coming on the scene, and this sounds more like Sarah Palin than anyone else--I remember it was a stone divination that also showed the weakening of the current administration:  "Taking the country in possibly a new direction, there’s a surprising action that makes a woman loom very large… some kind of upheaval and a new platform built.") from January 2008: 2008 is "a bumpy road to a better place."   "U.S.A. and the World:  Culling the newsletters for 2006 and 2007 for mentions of 2008, earlier predictions (“Courage stirs, chaos reigns, and in 2008, expect regime change!”)  would lead me to think a change-agent and practical type like Barack Obama wins the White House. The tense and weird astrology on Election Day in the U.S. indicates there could be yet another fraud-filled election. November and December have a tight stressful feel like we could get into another war. On a positive note, healthcare and education reform should be high on the agenda in 2009." “Everybody gets theirs” sums up the possibly heavenly or possibly hellish human experience in 2008.  For good and for bad, many things come true now.  In its positive aspect, if you’ve been working hard for years on something that’s been successfully received, now you’ll get more success, reward, and recognition…. And, not in a newsletter yet is the possibility we will be purposefully scared right around the time of the election by something that turns out to be just a scare…it could turn us away from a choice that could lead to peace, and a time when people treated each other with more honor and respect, and great individuals came forward to facilitate peace between cultures.  from January 2004 (not printed then because Ray Charles was still alive):  Another prediction I don't think I put in a newsletter  but now's the time: For the January 2004 newsletter, I got the vision that Ray Charles would die, and as if it marked the passing of one kind of America, this new America rose up--we would no longer be in the homier, cozier America that was sung to by Ray Charles. A change in our collective body is that we realize the import of everything, we feel everything, nobody’s numb. But we cannot see which way things are going. It’s questionable whether the stock market is repairable, whether the bailout has enough power to turn the economy around. Whatever plan is put into effect, there’s something not connecting, it’s lacking the force to make a difference, it is not a big enough scrapping of the old—there’s too much support for what is down and should be out. Upholding the old stunts the growth of the country. There is missing information at this time when deals are being made, causing more of a division when it comes out. This bailout proposal came right when Mercury retrograde started (September 25th -October 16th) making it more likely that there are hidden aspects to it we’ll find out about later. It could delay, not prevent, big losses. Okay, I wrote this a week ago, before all the gyrations of the bail-out bill and its failure. I have a hard time believing the above messages--it seems like it's better to try to shore up the economy now and have the government step in--a hard pill to swallow, but good for all in the long run. Also, my tarot readings started to picture the evolving bill favorably. So I did another divination about it, September 30th, using a few different systems--here are the results. "We are not at the bottom (market decline) and it is still the rhythm and measure of the old that people are clinging to. Creativity is on too short a leash. The time crunch--rushing--is sticking out as shortening the breadth and strength of possible creative solutions. The crystal portrayed the bail-out as being a false ocean floor with a lot of dangerous things about it hidden from view, and then saw it as a pristine, white, well-built little structure that was no match for a huge wave that crashed down on it. The tarot cards show that the bailout is an easier way to change, and change it will be, but a more comfortable change in the long run; and to not have the substantial bail-out is may be what's chosen, and leads to a quicker financial recovery, and more conflict and fighting. People may be too mad for the bail-out.There's something about the final solution that is outside of the currently proposed solution." What’s the best use of your time? Be like Dick Cheney, just focusing on what you want to get and going after it, not identifying with the explosions and divisions going on in the world around you. You have to be going somewhere you want to go, keen on following what’s near and dear to your heart. Stick with your own plans. Be forceful in pushing ahead with whatever you’re good at, and spend as much time as possible in inner realms where you find peace. Commit to less pressure and shorter to-do lists from the outside world. Right here in Santa Fe as it is in many places, the scene is changing to we know not what, with the new Railyard District and its contemporary art scene officially opening September 13. Meanwhile, ancient gatherings still go on here: September 2nd is the feast day of Acoma Pueblo, where when I first came here, a golden eagle was stationed in a small cornfield planted right in the church courtyard perched on their mesa.    With the help of the big Saturn in Virgo cycle we're in, getting us all  into better systematic shape, enabling us to work out the kinks of projects such as websites, I took a look at my published site and to my horror saw it was filled with weird hieroglyphics. Mortifying, when I realized it's been like that ever since I fooled around with the template settings, months and months ago.  I apologize to all the people I've sent to my website in 2008!  Now I’ve got a new brochure, a new feature (see below), and supposedly the  display problem will be fixed within three business days. However, while watching the Democratic National Convention, I was startled to see the same vision I got while talking to a phone client, leading me to believe the VP would have a very square head: it was Joe Biden behind Obama, coming up on his left, and what was visible was Biden's markedly broad square forehead, accentuated by his haircut that makes sharp right angles around the temples. Psychic Insights and Astrology for Fall 2008 What's In the Air for Fall 2008: To sum up the energy of Fall 2008, it's like a mass of super-charged water spilling out over a breaking dam--everywhere is receiving a new influx of energy; new centers of power are moving fast, literally new power sources (alternative energy) are big business news, as many deals are made.  In the powerful and fast-moving undercurrents of Fall, things can come to a head, and acts have big consequences.  The following messages create a chaotic picture, so let me loosely divide them into two categories. One has to do with breakdowns in the status quo, the other with breakthroughs in consciousness, as both activities are full steam ahead right now. First, breakdowns and other changes to structure: Conditions now create severe change. What's coming is hard to see for most people entrenched in the status quo, plus, change targets older and established areas. September events spread far and are long-lasting in their effects. In peoples' private lives and collective realities, dead end are evident--exposed. Carelessness proves costly now. Expect very high seas (something we are all waiting for in the U.S., to see how high the seas will be off the Gulf Coast of Louisiana). Population shifts bring people to places that were empty. Here in New Mexico, the trees talk about a terrible dry spell in the years to come. Some sort of alliance forms in the Orient between different countries and perhaps neighboring islands. And now, breakthroughs:  At this time in history, many people are getting enlightened, masters are coming into their masterful consciousness, and there's an influx of light coming in September and this Fall.  I got a similar message while writing for last Spring's newsletter: it was: "A brightness alights, more light comes in during Scorpio 2008" (That's roughly October 22-November 22nd. My afterthought was that it was a sign Obama would win the White House.  If  I'm right about these message below that this Fall's collective I.Q. rises, he might win by a landslide. But I bet this campaign season is going to be intense and nasty like you never saw, with campaigners' minds razor sharp and everything at stake. Also, there is a new color, a magenta/purple/scarlet, a very vital and vivid energy, and it is in the air like a new intelligence, a new compound--its energy is super-food for healing and personal growth. Due to a confluence of factors, such as new energies occasionally being introduced into our atmosphere, or the internet beginning to make us savvier as a whole, it seems that the collective I.Q. gets higher and there's a greater ability to accept the truth. Courage grows. The trend is for people to get stronger and speak their mind more freely. Peoples' creative response to life are colorful and rich in Virgo, with much attention to detail. The ads on the media get sharper and funnier...it's a witty month. Personal Guidance for Living in Harmony For individuals, this high-energy cycle with consequences means a lot can be accomplished if one is willing to focus and work through structures towards specific goals.  One can go far in either good or bad directions, so recognize what your actions produce--never mind what you say or wish to believe about yourself, what is it that you're actually promoting and furthering?  If you don't like the direction you're taking yourself, don't be afraid to make a sudden change--that's right in tune with September. Use the power of this time to bust through and break the hold of patterns that limit you--let the potent energy of September to upset things work for you: dispose of any baggage immediately. Make your own healing your priority--be responsible to yourself first and foremost, with inner peace your goal. This frees up your creative energy! Don't take on new goals before you've completed what you started. Now's the time to put into practice your recent insights, to keep practicing whatever you're trying to learn and to remember your personal commitments to yourself as well as your unique goals. Success hinges on diligence and practice. Don't go anywhere unless you must this September: it's best for success to keep your focus and do one thing at a time, conserve your energy and resources, and develop inner strength in the most comfortable situation possible.  One could waste a lot of effort racing around. Do things to fortify and strengthen yourself. Your Journey through Fall 2008: Individual Messages for Fire, Water, Air,and Earth Signs Fire: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius:  An opportunity surfaces that is either a return to something done before, or something begun now that you do for a long time.
