Swine Flu

The headlines are scary, but the tarot is not making the big deal of the swine flu, i.e. the picture of thousands or millions of people being wiped out, that the headlines are leading me to in my imagination. It just doesn’t go there.

Earth Day April 22, 2009 Messages

I got these messages by pointing a stick at each of the four quarters  of a circle I drew in the dirt, so I don’t know how reliable they are.
It was an Earth Day divination…
Earth Day Messages, April 22, 2009: (receiving this message made me a stronger believer in the power of  the collective consciousness to impress, to be a force, because truthfully, I didn’t know it was Earth Day–it was like, Wednesday to me–until I looked it up the date later in Jim Maynard’s Astrological calendar.

In the morning I walked outside into the atmospherically warmest and happiest  Spring air yet, and in it was a very joyous energy, and the collective thought-form  “Green green and glorious planet earth…what can I do for you?”  As if a million people were paying attention to planet earth– as if Earth were alive, and wanting our attention and heartfelt sentiments. We’re changing, and the earth is  receiving our blessings.
The U.S.A. and Beyond: Hate groups in the mid-West  continue to strengthen; crime networks in the East Coast  are under some strong pressure to leave the  area;  territory/land is lost in the south around the Mississippi; a city like Chicago (inland, middle U.S.) becomes a more powerful, thriving metropolis; a Canadian city like Ontario, Quebec, also grows.  A defining moment in the West…something happens that makes a difference to, has an impact on half of California.  Southern states get colder.

A lot of volcanoes in the southern latitudes.

An important development with alternative energy is ongoing and has the power to change things profoundly.

Later, there was the sense that 2011 was the glimmerings of very balmy weather, collective-consciously speaking, and blue skies.

Torture, Trials, and Economic Contraction

The musings of a psychic…
The talk is heating up about prosecuting U.S. administration officials for torture. It’s beginning to look like the messages I’ve posted since 2005 about some trial could be this…there were a lot of them (all still online newsletters at www.elissaheyman.com)  and they came in with the news of the appointment of Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, who seemed to be aiming at the White House when he went after Libby.
The pychic scenario that came up more than once was:  a big trial makes the American public feel like justice is served, that Obama, wanting to be creative, is frustrated in having to deal with the rotting corpses from the past that take up a lot of space, and whatever these trials are, what follows is an economic contraction, i.e. hard times.
At the moment, I’m more aware of the positive upswing to the collective energy and mood. However, if there’s a trial that makes Americans feel relieved about America, I wonder if it’s followed by an economic contraction. If there’s no trial, then perhaps the market rally and optimism would gather strength.

Taurus Birthday Message

Taurus 2009  birthday message:

You are tentative, yet hopeful, as you move towards something that looks like it might be real, that you can step into– that you can make changes through–that makes a defining circumstance you are happy with. Blessed be to all your new endeavors, don’t rule anything out.
Yours truly,
The loving spirits from Venus,  the planet of love and creativity,  (and your ruler. )

How I Got Rid of my Pain

This is actually what happened to me…

Trying to rid myself of a structural imbalance of  minor leg length discrepancy —like I had to be perfect—I ended up with a rolfer who suggested I walk through the pain I felt in one leg and hip, until I ended up on crutches, and then with  an orthopedist and xrays and physical therapy to no avail and then,  John Sarno’s book, “Healing Back Pain”.  Also, his other book, “The Mindbody Prescription”.
It worked for me, I got rid of the pain and was crowing about it to my boyfriend late at night, when in a playful but dead serious makebelieve session,he let me know I would never win, my subconscious would always rule me, and I was doomed to be in pain.
Then I got rid of my boyfriend (15 year relationship), found long-distance runner Monte Hueftle on the web who also had Sarno work for him and then not,  and went on to write a book about how he got rid of pain which I promptly ordered.  But I’d lost the faith, and went back to thinking my curved spine and disintegrating discs and possible pinched nerve were the cause.
Finally I called Monte up, he talked to me for an hour, I decided to start over with the Sarno  practices and now Monte’s info,
and maybe I was just ready to let it go, but I am no longer in pain!
I stopped taking classes and doing exercises and taking supplements.
If it comes back I’ll let you know.

“Entrepeneur to Entrepeneur”

My latest wipe-out as an entrepreneur was awe-inspiring: with one press of a button, I deleted my entire personal past and all my business connections and newsletter subscribers—all my data. The immediate lesson was:
Don’t be taking instructions over the phone if something is terribly wrong with your computer.
Don’t be taking them from the teenage computer whiz you hired, because he has no concept yet of how important data can be. He’s willing to give you tips over the phone while driving, cognizant from experience that he’s dealing with a  perversely dense client.
At the very root of it, (and why I would call this perverse)  is an unwillingness to recognize myself how vulnerable my lack of interest in the technological aspects of doing business had made me. I didn’t want to deal with another machine, so I didn’t pay attention to the vitally important task an external back-up performs. I had a weakness and as everyone finds out, Nature will expose it to an entrepeneur in some glaring ways.
On the other hand, I can bring a different import to losing everything, or I’m a truly great rationalizer: in a different context, in which people do what most directly teaches them what they need to know, it was right to lose everything, and it also freed me to try to rearrange things differently, re-prioritize, etc. It freed me from a lot of deadlines and infrastructure. So it felt, in terms of my spiritual evolution or a bunch of heavy lessons coming my way, it felt right. And I feel no pain although I’ve been maintaining that I fell into a light coma right when it happened and never came out of it.
