Dear Friends,
Every day it seems more practical to be an optimist, to believe in brighter days and be working towards them, because I do understand that’s how there will be brighter days. And when I’m not in my own wonderful world, I’m wondering if we’re all going over the cliff with mad king Trump, and taking Nature with us.
Accompanying me at home in Santa Fe this holiday weekend is listener-sponsored radio station WWOZ in New Orleans, putting on another “next ‘fest thing” , two weekends of broadcasts from past great JazzFest performances, and look at the cubes in the schedule: (whatever you miss you can listen to in their two week archive.
Not everyone is hanging out at home, though… Santa Fe has plenty of out-of-state cars on the streets, and stores and restaurants have extra- catchy “Open” signs. The Santa Fe river is running, people are strolling and shopping, and I see very few people now without their masks. I can attest to the feeling of security it gives one to have a governor who takes the pandemic seriously, whose leadership is keeping locals and visitors safe: thank you, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham!

Sun in Virgo 2020 Psychic Messages, August 22rd-September 21st
When the Sun is in Virgo, we appreciate getting things in order. Keeping a personal order is a comfort now, a relief from high-pressure events and existential threats. The first couple of weeks of this cycle are full of pressure, but the things that get revealed to us point out what has to be done, and how to prepare for the future.
Desperate Times Call for Desperate Measures: Sun in Virgo is excellent for plans to get things done. How about a GoFundMe campaign to save democracy? I would definitely chip in to fund organizers and an army of healthy citizens to fuel the massive voter turnout needed. “Saving Democracy” seems like a very easy fundraiser project, with millions wanting and waiting to contribute.

Society at Large: On September 9th, Mars goes retrograde and squares a powerful configuration of planets, and this brings out our base, instinctive sides, and encourages extremes of all kinds. Peoples’ id and libido run wild. Sexual adventures get kinkier and more violent. Permission feels granted to be very bad, and people are cruel and ruthless. Trump’s attempt to stay in power kicks into high gear, and US election sabotage and Russian interference take off like a rocket ship.
For the individual, the retrograde motion of Mars until mid-November indicates a frustrating cycle when it comes to dealing with bureaucracy and the world in general, but it lends us personal strength and power, too. Suddenly people can see themselves like others might, or see more clearly how they operate, and what their habits are doing to them – or for them if they’re good habits. A new level of self-awareness can trigger positive changes now. It’s also an excellent time to learn new skills and bulk up your toolkit for living well – pandemic changes have also eased up some peoples’ lives so they have more time now.
To summarize, it’s easier than usual to get frustrated and angry and feel like you’re going a little crazy. The best foil for that is to stay focused on what’s under your control, take even better care of yourself than you have been, and let an awful lot go.

The ongoing strategy for dealing with the American people is to keep them burdened with responsibility, so everything is on the backs of the governors, the municipalities, the counties – nothing is given in the way of support – leaving the citizens busy and overwhelmed, and going under financially, and this allows whatever different road the United States may be on, to be built.

Explication: How the government handles Americans’ lives make them first incredibly angry, then resolute as if they try to do something about it, then weary because society has broken down for them and life is hard, then waning as if the energy to change things wanes… and because those in power aim to destroy democracy and thereby stay in power, they’ll try to: “squeeze its throat ‘til it’s dead” , when people are weaker than they are right now.
Intervention Needed by Those in Power: It’s by sitting and watching things develop – letting this evil fester and continue – that will give rise to Godzilla-sized problems. Democrats would have to stop focusing on campaigning for elections to do what they can to stop a coup. A keg of evil is just about to blow, to grow very large and explode in many directions at once. Unless there’s a concerted effort to stop it, the U.S. could be like Germany before WW2, when liberals made posters and held rallies, but did not have the power to stop the Nazi movement from dismantling their democracy.
COUNSELORS WILL BE NEEDED, AND INNOVATION: A gigantic mental health crisis could be in the offing, with people having to adjust to too much change and not enough help. New mental health fields and formats are on the horizon. The breakdowns people go through are a microcosm of the larger breakdowns due to a “greed is good” principle as the foundation of a society. Apparently a natural step beginning with that bottom line is authoritarianism. Breakdowns, the body’s last resort healing technique, happen when something has to be let go of, and when it resurrects itself, pieces are differently arranged, some things are left out, and now they are on a different foundation and with new options.
THE WEATHER, THE PANDEMIC, AND THE POTENTIAL ELECTION CONSEQUENCES: Very turbulent weather, throwing lives up in the air. In general, it is through destruction and the dissolution of a lot of structure in our lives, that we again move forward. There are a surprising amount of pandemic deaths to go – it shows a clogged field of dead bodies. When the country is beaten down and weakened, a foreign power that I associate with the color red, Russia, comes into the picture in some new way, and is an influence we are more linked to in the future. If Nostradamus were talking about Trump, from afar he noticed the same qualities that stick out today. We’re all shocked at how audacious Trump is to attempt a coup, and act like a king. We’re shocked that he shamelessly lies thousands of times. We are alarmed out how bold he is with the army, using it to defend himself. We see the bridge is breaking between classes and colors and political parties of Americans. And we see protests in cities turn violent, and people who can afford it fleeing the cities for the safety of the suburbs.
